Bulgaria and Kazakhstan will cooperate in investments and innovations, as well as in the development of transport infrastructure and of the system of energy carriers’ transportation. This has been written down in the agreement for economic cooperation between the two countries signed in Astana by Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traicho Traikov and the Deputy PM and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Aset Isekeshev. The two officials have discussed priority spheres for encouraging investment projects for which the two countries envisage mechanisms in support of businesses. “As the easternmost part of EU Bulgaria is a very good platform for access of goods and investments from the Asian region to the European markets”, Minister Traikov said. He declared Bulgaria’s plans to build a cargo airport jointly with Asian investors.
