Market behavior lately has been highly correlated with the rumors, speculations, official announcements and meetings concerning Greece debt crisis. Stock markets were up for three consecutive days, yet Wednesday was the first day when UAIndex has shown decline, along with Dow Jones, well known to be the best indicator of the current situation. On Wednesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel late Wednesday suggested that a second bailout package for Greece might have to be renegotiated. Several European leaders want banks to take bigger losses on Greek bonds. France and the European Central Bank oppose the idea. Such debate turned down investors’ confidence one more time, adding to already high volatility and uncertainty in the markets. As Asian stocks opened with a decline this morning, we can predict even further decline until the end of the week.
