The Cabinet, representatives of product producers and enterprises of retail networks signed the Memorandum on the need to stabilize the price situation on the consumer market of the country.

As First Vice Premier and Economic Development and Trade Minister Andriy Kliuyev said, who signed the document on behalf of the government, producers obliged not to allow a "groundless rise" of wholesale prices for socially important products.

In particular, the matter concerns wheat flour of the highest class; ordinary bread; buckwheat, millet groats, ground oat, pea weevil and rice grits; second class macaroni; beef and pork (except for boneless meat); poultry meat; cooked sausage products (expect for high sorts); cow milk (up to 2.5% milk inclusive); acid curd cheese (up to 9% cheese inclusive); butter (to 72.5% inclusive); spreads; chicken eggs; sugar; refined sunflower seed oil.

Kliuyev said that the government will control fulfillment of the memorandum, however he underscored that only civilized cooperation of power bodies with market participants will allow creating transparent conditions for its functioning, profitable both for consumers, sellers and producers.
