Saudi Arabia is interested in large one-time purchases of Ukrainian grain, however, Ukraine would like to sign long-term contract for its exports to that country. Saudi Arabia is interested in 7.5 million tons of barley single purchase. However Ukraine is pushing hard for a long-term contract. During the current marketing year Ukrainian grain exports are expected to grow by more than 20 million tons, compared to 12 million tons in 2010, which will provide over 4.5 billion dollars and substantially increase the budget. The latest forecasts Agricultural Ministry, the grain harvest in the country in 2011 exceed 50 million tons, while in 2010 Ukraine harvested 39.3 million tons. Export of grain in the current marketing year is expected in the amount of 25 million tons.
