Ukraine's direct debt could be 32.1% of GDP by end 2010
Ukraine's direct public debt will grow from $38.5 billion to $43.5 billion in November-December 2010, Deputy Prime Minister Sergiy Tigipko said.
"By the end of the year, according to our calculations, it [the direct state debt] will be 32.1% of GDP. So far this figure is not critical for the country," he said, speaking in parliament during "an hour of questions for the government" on Friday.
"However, two years ago we had 12% of GDP. Such a pace is really critical," he said.
