Cooperation of Ukraine and the Customs Union is possible only in the 3 +1 format, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said Thursday at an open lecture he delivered for students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, an UKRINFORM correspondent reported.

"In order to join the Customs Union, we have to review all the agreements that we had signed with members of the WTO. Is it real? It is absolutely unreal. That's why we tell our Russian partners: let's start the movement towards economic cooperation in accordance with the formula proposed by the President of Ukraine 3 +1," the prime minister emphasized.

Azarov also noted that in the context of cooperation with the Customs Union in the 3+1 format Ukraine is ready to consider agreements in effect within the association. "The president proposed a formula of cooperation in the 3+1 format, and we can gradually begin the consideration of the agreements signed within the framework of the Customs Union. As soon as we study and consider them, we will join some of them. That is, we have proposed a normal phased process of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union," Azarov underscored.
