Volatility within the financial markets is still comparatively high, yet, it has been a first week in a monthly period when global indices have shown growth. Namely, S&P 500, Dow Jones and Nasdaq has ended the week with a positive performance. Friday daily decline of the index is seen as the volatility mentioned above.

The main reasons for positive performance of the stocks are the end of revolution in Lybia and a vote of confidence in financials by esteemed investor Warren Buffett. The results of Hurricane Irene were not seen to have any effect on the performance of the main U.S. indices, thus it is a factor to look out for.

Another negative factor is that Commerce Department of U.S. has released its estimate of the county economy growth. It was 0.3% lower than the earlier estimates, landing down at 1% growth over the three summer months. Thus, investors are still on the look-out, selling stocks more actively than buying.
