Vice Premier Tihipko: State debt will grow to USD 43b till year end

The state debt of Ukraine till the end of 2010 will increase to USD 43billion till the year end making up 32% of the country GDP, Prime Minister on Economic Affairs Serhiy Tihipko has said in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to him, presently, the debt is equal USD 38.9 billion. Tihipko assured that the debt amount of USD 43 billion is not tremendous for Ukraine. As a critical point for the country he named the debt reaching 60% of GDP.
According to the Finance Ministry, the state and guaranteed by the state debt of Ukraine as of October 31, 2010, made up USD 405.312 billion or USD 51.230 billion.
In 2009, Ukraine's state debt increased by 61.3% tо USD 39.685 billion.
