Analysts forecast GDP growth at 4.5% in 2011

Ukraine's GDP growth in 2011 is expected at 4.5%, whereas industrial production growth - at 8%, analysts of Sokrat investment group forecast.
"The Ukrainian economy is in the process of renovation mainly thanks to a growth of solvent demand on the internal market on the background of the world economy slowdown. At the same time, indexes are predicted. We estimate GDP growth in 2011 at 4.5%, whereas industrial production growth - at 8%," the experts say.
Analysts also noted that according to the NBU data, GDP growth over seven months of 2011 amounted to 5% against the same period of 2010, industrial production growth - 8.7%, construction - 13.6% and agriculture - 9.1%.
The Cabinet by its resolution of June 6 improved the GDP growth forecast from 4.5% tо 4.7% in 2011.
GDP growth in Q2, 2011, slowed down to 3.8% against 5.3% in Q1.
