This year, Ukraine will be able to export 25 million tons of grain on condition that transit stocks make up 4.5 million tons, Director General of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation said.
According to the UAC previous forecasts, Ukrainian grain export made up 23-24 million tons.
Since the beginning of 2011/2012 marketing year (July 2011 - June 2012), grain export amounted to about 1 million tons.
To remind, since July 1, Ukraine abolished quotas for grain export, which were introduced in autumn 2010 due to the poor yield. Instead of quotas, a 9-14% duty for grain export was introduced till 2012.
In addition, the government abolished VAT refund for grain export to traders.
