Prime Minister Mykola Azarov set the goal for the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to develop a draft program for the production of domestic agricultural machinery. Such assignment was given during the Cabinet of Ministers’ meeting. 

"I am instructing the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Agriculture to begin such work, to bring it to all market participants and provide for such a project in the state program of import substitution", - said the prime minister.

He stated that it is possible to conduct simple market research in terms of the demand for agricultural machinery and provide Ukrainian agriculture companies with such machinery (instead of purchasing it abroad). Interestingly enough Mr. Prime Minister did not mention any price and quality determinants that are vital in this case.
