Bank finance and credit is considering ipo as one of the potential options for raising capital

Initial public offerings have become a certain type of risk diversification for Ukrainian banks, as banking sector is currently becoming more controlled and regulated by the government.

Analysts estimate "Privat” capital, as 1.6-2.0Bn USD, 3,5-5,2 in monetary terms. In their view, if the bank, "Finance and Credit" and "Privat" finally dare to sell the stake, its size can be as high as 20-25% ($ 1-1.3 billion).

Ukrainian banking system is heavily exposed to political risks. This is evidenced by the recent events related to the FPG "Finance and Credit" that is owned by Konstantin Zhevago.

The current government states that "Privatbank will have to make a decision about becoming a bank with foreign capital until August 8. In order to obtain an appropriate status, according to Ukrainian law, the bank must sell at least 10% of the shares.
