Bulgarian Stock Exchange narrows loss in H1 2011

Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) saw its net loss shrink to 119 000 leva in the first half of 2011 from 366 000 leva in the same period of 2010, the operator's report shows.
Revenue rose by 17 per cent to more than one million leva, while interest income declined 18 per cent to 129 000 leva.
Turnover on the bourse's regulated market stood at 277 million leva in the period, an annual increase of 12.3 per cent. BSE also registered a rise in deals on the official market, but transactions in the unofficial segment and deals with mutual funds and rights registered declines.
The volume of deals dropped by 6.5 per cent to 130.4 million leva through June. Eurohold Bulgaria, ELARG Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund and Bulgarian American Credit Bank recorded the highest turnover in the period.
