Share of the overdue loans in Ukraine has decreased to 11%

The share of overdue loans to Ukraine in June 2011 decreased by 0.09 percentage points - to 10.9% (prior to 2011 - 11.24%) of total loans. According to NBU, in absolute terms the amount of overdue debt in June fell by 0.1% - to 86.354Bn UAH against the growth of total loans by 0.7% - up to 792.047Bn UAH.
During January-June the volume of outstanding credit debt rose by 1.8% and the volume of loans - by 4.9%. NBU also indicated that the total registered share capital of banks in the country in June increased by 3.9% - up to 159.254 billion as of early 2011 - by 9.2%, from 145.857 billion.
The share of foreign capital in total capital share of banks decreased by 1 percentage point in June to 38.9%. Thus the total number of currently operating banks with foreign capital in June rose by two to 56 financial institutions. Number of banks with 100% foreign capital increased by one: there are 20 such banks.
