Russia’s budget deficit in 2012 may make 2.7% less than it had been planned for.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said this at the government’s meeting on Thursday, adding that Russia still has to aim at a non-deficit budget.
Russia’s budget must be increased by the growth and diversification of the country’s economy and a more smoothly working system of tax collection, Mr. Putin believes.
He also said that the budget must depend less on gas and oil prices.
