Ukraine's agricultural enterprises in the first half of the year drew 7 billion UAH (1 USD - 7.97 UAH) of credit funds.
According to the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, this is 2.2 times more than over the same period last year.
The average rate is about 18%.
"This suggests that trust and effective cooperation between banking institutions and farmers appeared," Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said.
The ministry reminds that 3.7 billion UAH was allocated to support the development of agricultural enterprises as of July 5.
In 2010, agricultural enterprises attracted 9.698 billion UAH of loan funds.
At yesterday's Cabinet meeting, First Vice Prime Minister Andriy Kliuyev asked the National Bank to facilitate the extension of loans that were taken by farmers earlier and whose amount has already exceeded 32 billion UAH, including for a term of up to 1 year - 12.3 billion UAH.
