NBU forecasts 4% GDP growth

The National Bank forecasts 4% GDP growth by results of 2010, the NBU report reads concerning the estimate of the economic state of Ukraine. "With taking into consideration a high comparative basis for Q4 2009, we expect some slowing down of the growth in annual terms in November-December that will allow us to achieve GDP growth at no less than 4% by year results, the NBU notes. Accoding to the National Bank estimates, the GDP growth in October made up 5.6%, over 10 months against the same period of the previous year - 4.8% and 4.7% - over nine months. Earlier, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stated that in January-October, Ukraine's GDP increased by 4.6%. Earlier, in October, GDP growth made up 5.7%. To remind, in Q1 Ukraine's GDP grew by 4.9% and in Q2- by 5.9%. To remind, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has improved a forecast of Ukraine's GDP from 4% tо 5% in 2010. In 2009, Ukraine's GDP fell by 15.1% against the previous year to 914.72 billion.
