Law on grain export duties comes into force in Ukraine

The Ukrainian law of May 19, 2011 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and on export duties on certain types of grain crops came into force in Ukraine on July 1, 2011.
The law introduces a 9-14% duty on grain exports until 2012, increases the payment for the use of natural resources by 1.5 times, oil and gas production by 7.1%, and imposes the value added tax (VAT) on consulting services, as well as services for the development, delivery and testing of software.
As reported, on May 19, 2011, the Verkhovna Rada adopted respective government amendments to the Tax Code.
