According to the National Bank of Ukraine, agricultural loans to corporations have increased the fifth consecutive month and at the end of May 2011 amounted to 32Bn USD. The rate of increase in monthly terms has slowed to 2%, compared to 6.3% in April. This is stated in a statistical release of NBU in March 2011, released June 29. The report notes that in contrast to the previous month in May, growth was formed due to the increase of credits granted in national currency, which, compared with April increased by 3.3% - to 23,7Bn UAH. Loans in foreign currency have decreased by 1.6% - 8.2Bn UAH.

Annual growth rate of loans to agricultural corporations, continued to accelerate. In May an increase was noted at 24.5% compared to 23.3% in April (on loans to non-financial corporations, an increase of respectively 16.9% and 15.7%). The volume of new loans to agricultural corporations to some extent from the action of the seasonal factor decreased as compared to April by 6.7% - to 4,7Bn UAH however remained higher than average volume of loans over the past 12 months (3.6 billion USD).\
