Experts name as acceptable growth of state debt to 44% of GDP till 2011 end

The current debt level is acceptable and by the end of 2011 it may reach 44% of GDP, which is lower against the admissible level (60% of GDP), Sokrat investment group experts believe.
"On the whole, the current dynamics - over five months of 2011, the state debt grew by USD 3.49 billion (+6.4% since the year start) - is moderate against the growth of the state debt in May 2010 (+50% y/y) and in May 2009 (+54% y/y)," the analysts believe.
Earlier, it was reported that according to the Finance Ministry, the state debt in May reduced by USD 0.38 billion (-0.7% m/m) tо USD 57.78 billion. Internal debt reduced by USD 0.06 billion (-0.3% m/m) tо USD 20.89 billion, and foreign debt - by USD 0.32 billion (-0.9% m/m) tо USD 36.90 billion.
As of May 31, 2011, state and guaranteed by the state debt of Ukraine amounted to USD 57.784 billion.
