Creation of the free trade area is aimed at an increase in the volumes of mutual trade and investments, Vice Premier and Social Policy Minister Serhiy Tihipko told the business forum Ukraine-Serbia, held on June 24 in Serbia.

According to the Vice Premier, a growth of cooperation between the two counties will be promoted by the oncoming Serbia's WTO accession and privatization of state enterprises in this country, in which Ukrainian entrepreneurs can participate.

Tihipko also noted that a key factor of development of the two countries' economies is adoption of the legislation aimed at improvement of the investment climate.

In particular, he underscored that presently the Ukrainian government is working over bills on relative reduction of the single social payment, which will allow cutting the tax pressure for the wages.

In addition, in the nearest future, it is expected to adopt the law aimed at support of the IT industry. According to Tihipko, presently, in the software sphere about 200,000 Ukrainians are engaged, and the volume of software export reaches USD 1 billion.

"Adoption of the legislation aimed at support of the IT sector and lowering down of the tax load on the companies is able to increase software export from Ukraine to USD 4-5 billion a year," the Vice Prime Minister believes.
