U.S. Q1 GDP growth revised up slightly to 1.9 percent

The U.S. Gross Domestic Product figures for the first quarter of 2011 were upwardly revised slightly, according to figures released Friday by the Commerce Department.
In the third revision to the data, figures showed the U.S. economy grew by 1.9 percent in the first quarter, which while positive is notably slower than the 3.1 percent growth posted for the fourth quarter of 2010.
Most economists had expected the previously estimated 1.8 percent growth for the first quarter to either hold steady or be revised slightly upward.
