No grain sale quotas for this year - Deputy Prime Minister Kolesnikov

There are no quotas for the sale of grain in the 2011/2012 marketing year in Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov during a business forum in Paris, Ukrainian Meetings 2011, the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry reported.
"This year, Ukraine will have no quotas on grain sales. The market will be free," Borys Kolesnikov said.
As for the future development of agriculture in Ukraine, the Vice Prime Minister noted that in September-October 2011, it is expected to adopt a law on the ground, which would prohibit the sale of land to foreigners. "At the same time, we can not exclude the possibility of granting land on lease to foreign investors for up to 50 years," Borys Kolesnikov said.
