Government has increased the prognosis of grain exports by 40%

Volume of Ukrainian exports of grains may be equal to 20-25M tons of grains. Such statement was made by deputy minister of agrarian politics and supplies Mykhola Bezugliy. At the same time he stated that there are no additional conditions that would contribute to limitation of grain exports. He also stated that there are several countries, including those of North Africa, East and CIS and Baltic countries are interested in buying grains from Ukraine.

Mr. Bezugliy also stated that harvest of grains in Ukraine may be at the level of 45M tons. “Everything will depend on climatic conditions as deviations are possible in either way”, - as stated by deputy minister.

According to the information provided by the Ministry 100K tons of winter barley were harvested in Odesska and Mikolayivska regions and Crimea. It is expected that next week there will be massive harvesting. Sowing of grains is equal to 15.7M hectares. According to the prognosis of Mykhola Bezugliy winter wheat harvest will remain at the level of 20M tons, 60% of which is wheat for consumption. Corn harvest is predicted at 17M tones, buckwheat is at 250K tons and barley is set at 8-9M tons.
