Ukraine and Jordan consider cooperation in agriculture, aviation, railway communications, metallurgy and other fields as promising and mutually beneficial.

This was discussed during a meeting between Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and the King of Jordan Abdullah II, who is on an official visit in Kyiv, according to the liaison department of the Cabinet of Ministers' Secretariat.

Thus, during the meeting Jordan's King noted that Ukraine is a major exporter of grain, and Jordan a major importer. Therefore, the countries could jointly build storage facilities for crops and then distribute these products over the entire Arab region, Abdullah II said.

He stressed that the Jordanian port, which is the largest in the region, also contributes to the development of grain trade.

In turn, Mykola Azarov noted that Ukrainian experts would carefully examine the proposal.

In addition, the Prime Minister expressed Ukraine's interest to collaborate in the development of Jordan's transport infrastructure, particularly, on the large-scale project for the construction of Jordanian Railways. Ukrainian plants, according to Azarov, "can produce everything, from locomotives and cars to wheels and other parts."

The Prime Minister also said that Ukraine and Jordan can develop cooperation in the aviation industry.

In turn, the King of Jordan said that his country is interested in the AN family aircraft.

In general, the parties agreed to intensify bilateral cooperation.
