Yanukovych signed a law on export duties on grain

President Victor Yanukovich signed the law of Ukraine № 3387-VI «On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and the rates of export duties on some types of crops. "

On May 19 Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the second reading and on the whole a government bill, which establishes duties on grain exports from 9 to 14%.
In particular, the document would impose a duty of 9% on wheat exports before January 1, 2012, 12% duty on corn and 14% duty on the export of barley.
At the same time, according to the document, the Government proposes to establish the duty on wheat not less than 17 euros/ton, corn - 20 euros per ton, barley - 23 euros per ton.
We remind that on May 25 the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree that abolished quotas on grain exports. However, according to the document, the export quotas on buckwheat and its products, as well as rye at a rate of 1 thousand tons were saved.
