Agriculture ministry considers necessary to increase budget financing for agroindustrial complex by 41%

The Agriculture Ministry considers it necessary to increase financing of the agroindustrial complex by 41.3% or by UAH 3.8 billion to UAH 13 billion in 2011 against 2010 (USD 1/UAH 7.94), Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said.
"This issue (of agroindustrial complex financing) is now in the active stage of discussion. Much will depend on the Tax Code. We insist on an increase of agroindustrial sector financing to UAH 13 billion," he said.
Prysiazhniuk added that presently in compliance with the tasks from President Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister Mykola Azarov the ministry works over development and adoption of the two national projects: Grain of Ukraine and Modern Cattle Breeding.
As regards financing of the agrarian sector in 2010, Prysiazhniuk noted that the budget 2010 was taken with some delay that had an impact on adoption of the necessary procedures for the use of the budget funds.
As it was reported, for 2010, financing of the agrarian sector from the three funds of the state budget was envisaged to the amount of UAH 9.2 billion, including for support of agricultural enterprises development - UAH 5.3 billion.
In particular, from the general fund, financing to the amount of UAH 3.575 billion was envisaged for the agroindustrial complex, from the special fund - UAH 4.023 billion and from the stabilization fund - UAH 1.643 billion.
