Indonesia's central bank on Thursday retained its key interest rate for the fourth time this year as inflation slowed slightly. The Bank Indonesia maintained the key rate at 6.75 percent, in line with economists' expectations.
In February, the Bank Indonesia had surprised with a hike that lifted the key rate from record low. That was the first increase since October 2008.
In May, inflation slowed to 5.98 percent from 6.16 percent in the previous month. The central bank aims to maintain inflation in the range of 4 percent-6 percent this year.
Today, the central bank said the implementation of monetary policy mix and macroprudential policy will bring inflation to the target level.
