Quotas for barley rose to 400,000 tons compared to the proposed 12,000. However, now the Ukrainian side is not satisfied with EU restrictions on the supply of poultry meat, Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said, according to UKRINFORM.

Ukraine is now allowed to export only 15,000 tons of diet products. Domestic market of Ukraine is already provided chicken. Ukrainians eat even 2 kilos more than the Europeans. In addition, meat production is constantly increasing, he added.

"We will soon launch another 2 factories. One factory will produce 400,000 tons of meat, another - 150,000. We need to send to external markets at least 0.5 million tons of poultry meat," the minister told the UBR channel.

Ukraine is supposed to sign an agreement on free trade area with the EU in September, experts believe. Therefore, the 17th round of talks to be held in Kyiv on June 20 will be decisive.
