Ukraine, Russia sign program for economic cooperation until 2020

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin have signed a program of economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation for 2011-2020. The document was signed following the 8th meeting of the Committee on Economic Cooperation of the Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission in Moscow.
The two countries' heads of governments also signed a protocol of the 8th meeting of the committee.
In addition, several joint documents were signed following the Ukrainian-Russian talks.
In particular, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko and Regional Development Minister of Russia Viktor Basargin signed an action plan to implement a program of interregional and cross-border cooperation between Russia and Ukraine for 2011-2016. Ukraine's Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk and Russia's Agriculture Minister Elena Skrynnik signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in plant quarantine issues.
