Romanian Producer Price Inflation Eases In April

Romania's producer price inflation slowed in April, data released by the National Institute of Statistics showed Thursday.
The producer price index increased 9.6 percent year-on-year in April, slower than the 11 percent rise recorded in March.
Output prices in the manufacturing industry climbed 11.2 percent, while mining and quarrying prices advanced 2.49 percent during the month. There was a 2.25 percent annual rise in intermediate goods prices, and a 4.51 percent growth in capital goods prices. Durable goods prices and energy products prices rose 1.36 percent and 11.71 percent respectively in April.
On a monthly basis, producer prices moved up marginally by 0.01 percent during the month, compared to March's 1.1 percent growth.
