Russia bans all EU vegetable imports

Russia banned vegetable imports from all European Union member states as of today due to an outbreak of severe stomach infection in Europe just days after prohibiting “green” imports from Germany and Spain.
The country’s chief epidemiologist Gennady Onishchenko said that tighter measures were aimed at checking the spread of the deadly strain that has already killed 17 people in Europe and left about 1,170 others seriously sick.
