Economic Development Ministry propose improving GDP growth forecast to 4.7%

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade proposes that the Cabinet of Ministers improve the forecast of GDP in 2011 from 4.5% to 4.7%. This was stated by First Deputy Minister Vadym Kopylov.

According to him, the inflation outlook remains at the same level of 8.9%.

The Cabinet planned to consider the question of clarifying the basic macro forecasts of economic and social development of Ukraine for 2011. Kopylov said the matter was postponed until the next meeting of the government.

As known, according to macro-forecasts of the Ministry of Finance in the draft state budget for 2011, GDP growth is set at 4.5%, inflation at 8.9%. Nominal GDP is expected to reach 1.253 trillion UAH (1 USD - 7.97 UAH), the producer price index 11.3%, wage fund 391 billion UAH, the hryvnia exchange rate 7.95 UAH/USD.
