India's April Exports Grew By 34%: Estimates Lower Trade Deficit

India's Exports during April, 2011 were valued at $23,849.32 million (Rs.105,819.43 crore), higher by 34 per cent than the $17,742.13 million (Rs.78,951.58 crore) in April last year.
The trade deficit for April 2011 was estimated at $8,985.04 million. lower by 19 per cent than the deficit of $11,027.93 million during April 2010.
During April, India's Imports rose by 14 per cent to $32,834.36 million (Rs.145,686.06 crore) from the $28,770.06 million (Rs.128,025.31 crore) for the same month last year.
Oil imports during the April were valued at $10,185.9 million, eight per cent higher than the Rs.9,454 million in April last year, while non-oil imports were estimated at $22,648.4 million, whihc was 17 per cent highr than the $19,316 million in April 2010.
