Bulgaria's producer prices rise 10.7% Y/Y in April

Bulgaria's producer prices increased by 10.7 per cent year-on-year in April, compared with a 13.5 per cent annual rise in the previous month, data by the National Statistics Institute showed. In monthly terms, prices edged up by 0.6 per cent in the period.
Producer prices in the processing industry and the energy sector each went up by 0.7 per cent on the month and by 11.3 per cent and 10.8 per cent in annual terms, respectively. Prices in the mining sector were down by 0.9 per cent in monthly terms, but registered an annual rise of 7.2 per cent.
The most significant annual increase was registered in food prices, of 17.1 per cent, followed by 11.9 per cent in prices of metal producers and 10.9 per cent in the textile sector, excluding clothing. In tobacco production, prices registered a 12.3 per cent drop.
