Azarov Announces GDP Growth Of 5.7% In October

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said the Ukrainian GDP grew by 5.7% in October over October 2009.
The prime minister announced this in his opening word at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, the GDP growth over the January - October 2010 period made 4.6%.
"Over the January - October period the gross domestic product grew by 4.6% and the GDP grew by 5.7% in October," he said.
He noted that the industrial output in the January - October 2010 period grew by 10.7% over the same period of 2009.
The prime minister said the major achievement of his government is macroeconomic and financial stability.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, according to rough data of the State Statistics Committee the real gross domestic product grew by 3.5% in the January - September 2010 period over the same period of 2009.
In 2009, Ukraine 's gross domestic product fell by 15.1% over 2008 to UAH 914.720 billion.
