Kiev’s trade with Russia in 2010 reaches 17 billion dollars.

Kiev’s trade with Russia in 2010 grew by 2.3 times against 2009 and reached 17.4 billion dollars, Deputy Chairman of Kiev’s administration Ruslan Kramarenko said at the second economic forum of Ukraine’s regions and Russia’s Urals Federal District on Wednesday.
“The Russian Federation is Kiev’s major trade partner,” he said. “Russia takes 55 percent of total foreign trade of our capital.”
“We are pleased with the export operations to the Russian Federation, which grew over the past year by 4.7 times and made 6.4 billion dollars, while import also grew by 70.6 percent to eleven billion dollars,” he added.
Kiev’s some entities are interested in cooperation with enterprises of the Urals Federal District, he said.
“Cooperation with Russian companies is interesting and promising, as Ukraine and Russia invest in each other not only in natural resources, but in the sphere of high technologies,” he said. Kiev has major high technology enterprises in aviation construction, which have presented to investors several attractive investment projects.
