First time in 10 years Ukraine exports to Poland more than imports

Ukrainian exports to Poland in the first quarter of this year for the first time in the past ten years exceeded Polish imports to Ukraine. This is stated in the Economic Bulletin of the Ukrainian Embassy in Warsaw.
According to the diplomatic mission, which cites the Ukrainian statistics service, in the first three months of this year, the surplus in Ukraine's trade with Poland amounted to almost $25 million.
Ukrainian producers in the first quarter doubled exports to about $655 million, while Polish deliveries increased by one third to a little more than $630 million.
With a turnover of nearly $1.3 billion, Poland ranked fifth among the trading partners of Ukraine in the world after Russia (more than $12 billion), Germany ($1.9 billion), China ($1.7 billion) and Turkey (little over $1.3 billion).
Ukraine in the first three months exported to Poland most of all ferrous metals (25% of deliveries), slag, ore, ash (over 20%) and electrical equipment (about 10%).
Polish producers were selling to the Ukrainians engineering products (15%), paper (10%) and plastic products (10%).
Ukrainian trade with Poland last year grew by 35% to $4.6 billion.
