Ukrainian economy dollarization level reaches 29.4%

The National Bank notes raising of a level of the Ukrainian economy dollarization from 29.13% tо 29.36% in Q1 2010, the NBU monetary review says.
In addition, according to the statement, the NBU measures on stimulation of using the national currency by banks promoted the following reduction in the index of deposit dollarization.
According to the NBU, its value as of April 1, 2011, reduced to 41.4% against 42% as of the beginning of the year.
"At the same time, the money supply dollarization index as of April 1, 2011, -29.36% - increased against the beginning of the year (29.13%), the statement reads.
The National Bank notes that this does not testify to a growth of an inclination to use the foreign currency in the economic turnover, but is a consequence of a seasonal reduction of the cash component in the money supply structure.
The National Bank noted reduction in the level of the Ukrainian economy dollarization from 29.6% tо 29.13% in Q4 2010.
