Expert says May inflation could reach 10.5%

Inflation in Ukraine in May could amount to 10.5%, financial analyst Eric Naiman has said at a news conference.
He did not rule out that this may be due, inter alia, to the rise in petrol prices.
"With the dollar is falling, the hryvnia, which is pegged to that currency, is falling with it," the expert said.
In June and July, according to Naiman, inflation may reach 11-12%.
According to the State Statistics Service, the April inflation rate made 1.3%, from the beginning of the year - 4.7%. In March, consumer prices rose by 1.4%.
In 2010, inflation posted 9.1%, and this year, according to government forecasts, it is expected to reach 8.9%.
