Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn forecasts completion of negotiations with the EU on the Association Agreement in 2011.
According to him, certain delays on this occasion are now observed on the part of the EU.
"We would like and we stand that Ukraine's European perspective should be reflected there. It is clear that the basis of the Association Agreement is an agreement about the free trade area. On a number of positions, discussions continue with the European Union, EU representatives and, certainly, we are working over realization of the Action Plan regarding a visa free regime. Although, judging from recent official statements, this problem has certain complication actually in the EU, I mean the Schengen zone," Lytvyn has said at a joint press conference with Polish Sejm Marshal Bogdan Borusewicz in Vinnytsia.
According to the Polish Marshal, this year we are witnesses of enhancement of negotiations regarding the signature of the agreement on the free trade area, as it was forecasted by President Yanukovych last year.
