Ukraine eighth in CIS in terms of inflation for Q1, 2011

Ukraine, with annual inflation of 7.7%, ranked eighth among the CIS countries in terms of inflation for the first quarter of 2011.
The maximum annual inflation among the CIS countries was recorded in Kyrgyzstan - 20.3% for the first quarter of 2010.
In Belarus, the rise in prices was 12.5%, Tajikistan - 12.1%, Armenia - 11.1%, Russia - 9.5%, Azerbaijan - 9.1%, and Kazakhstan - 8.5%.
The lowest annual inflation rate was registered in Moldova - 6.1%.
The largest growth in industrial production among the CIS countries in the first quarter of 2011 compared to January-March 2010 was registered in Belarus, where it was 11.8%.
In Ukraine, the growth in industrial production was 9.7%, Uzbekistan - 6.2%, Kazakhstan - 6%, Russia - 5.9%, Tajikistan - 5.4%, Armenia - 4.8%, and Azerbaijan - 0.3%.
In Kyrgyzstan, industrial output in the first quarter of 2011 dropped by 0.3%.
