In Ukraine, the grain yield will sharply grow this year following a severe drought last summer, senior economist and analyst of the grain market at the UN Food Agriculture Organization (FAO) has said.
According to FAO employee Abdolrez Abbassian, agricultural raw markets need control to a certain extent to have a chilling effect on speculators and to stabilize the prices.
According to the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry forecasts, the grain yield in Ukraine in 2011 will make up over 43 million tons.
