Warsaw Stock Exchange to launch WIG Ukraine Index on May 4

The Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) is planning to launch the index of Ukrainian companies - WIG Ukraine Index, Ludwik Sobolewski, President and CEO of the WSE Management Board, has said, according to the WSE's press service.
"The publication of the index of Ukrainian companies will start on May 4. Initially, it will include five companies, and one more will be added later," he said.
So far, five companies from Ukraine debuted on the main market of the Warsaw bourse, conducting offers worth about PLN 1.6 billion. They are as follows: Agroton, Astarta Holding, Kernel Holding, Milkiland and Sadovaya Group.
Sobolewski also upheld his expectations that a total of 5-10 Ukrainian firms should debut on the WSE this year.
