Agriculture ministry: Ukraine to export 19-20mn tons of grain crops in 2011-2012MY

Ukraine is planning to export in the 2011-2012 marketing year about 19-20 million tons of grain, said Anatoly Rozhon, the Director of the Department of Agricultural Market Development at the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine.
"Traditionally, it is wheat within 9.8 million tons, corn - 4 million tons, and barley - 5.6 million tons," according to the official.
He noted that the agriculture ministry forecasts for the harvest 2011 range from 42 to 45 million tons.
He reminded that export of goods produced by agro-industrial companies in the first quarter 2011, compared to the same period in 2010, increased by 41% - to USD 900 million.
