VTB Bank boosts income

Net income of VTB Bank, one of the largest finance institutions in Ukraine, in the first quarter 2011 increased to UAH 117.493 million (USD 1 - UAH 7.97), after UAH 60,000 last year, the bank said in its financial statements.
Net interest income in the three months amounted to UAH 536.6 million, net fee and commission income - UAH 64.999 million, other operating incomes - UAH 2.446 million.
As of January 1, 2011 assets of PJSC VTB Bank totaled UAH 33.1446 billion, loans and liabilities of customers - UAH 30,519.3 billion, own capital - 4,343.4 billion.
Last year the bank, 92% owned by Russia's Vneshtorgbank, finished with a loss of UAH 483.618 million.
