Tax service introduces VIP services for large taxpayers

2011-04-29 11:41:53

The State Tax Service of Ukraine (STSU) has offered a new service for large taxpayers - "horizontal monitoring," STSU Chairman Vitaliy Zakharchenko said at a meeting with the large taxpayers of Kyiv - the members of the Association of Ukrainian Taxpayers.

According to this method of servicing, the tax service, with the consent of taxpayers, is processing information about their financial transactions and immediately points to possible risk calculations and operations, as well as to questionable counteragents that conduct them.

"We are ready to provide businesses with information about risk operations, prompting questionable moments. We don't impose our recommendations, but we just provide information to top managers to make decisions. Companies can get professional help without any costs," Zakharchenko said.

In his opinion, the introduction of "horizontal monitoring" will help develop relations between the tax authorities and taxpayers.

There are also plans to create an Internet portal for large taxpayers, on which, after identification, taxpayers will be able to view tax information about them. Thus, the participants of the project will avoid the need to check the calculations.

An experiment on the introduction of the method of "horizontal monitoring" is to be conducted with the participation of five large taxpayers. Their participation in the experiment will be entirely voluntary.

The method of "horizontal monitoring" was first applied in the Netherlands in 2005. After its successful testing, this experience was borrowed by several other European countries, particularly Germany, Austria, Slovenia, etc.
