Ukraine has no shortage of Oligarchs looking to go farming. Mr. Dmytro Firtash, head of the shadowy RosUkrEnergo gas and energy trader has been rapidly accumulating agricultural assets of late. Last year following the change in government Mr. Firtash managed to take control of most of Ukraine's fertilizer production assets. Last week he took over Kakhovka Prom Agro, a soybean crushing and processing facility. The takeover was bloodless as the company owned NADRA bank 190 million UAH or $25 million. After not paying for three years it apparently surrendered itself to NADRA's key shareholder Mr. Firtash.
