In the nearest time, currency swaps will be introduced (combination of two counter conversion transactions at the same amount with different payment dates), First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Yuriy Kolobov told a round table.

"We stand that currency crediting is abolished for the entities having no currency earnings. And therefore, we put the issue of the long and cheap hryvnia resource, and therefore we introduce such an instrument as currency swaps. A resolution has been signed, everything is worked out, we worked with large banks, studied international experience and in the nearest future this mechanism will be included into the market," Kolobov stated.

The same situation, according to him, is with other instruments that are being introduced on the financial market "which we introduce with the aim of flexibility and legalization of the currency market."

Kolobov noted that the matter concerns possibility of purchasing currency without any obligations, existing now.

Earlier, it was reported that in May the NBU will introduce an index of deposit rates, which will allow setting floating rates, including in the mortgage or credit for construction.
