NBU, banks agree on joint efforts to restore lending to economy

The National Bank of Ukraine officials on Tuesday held a meeting with representatives of the largest financial institutions in Ukraine to discuss the problems impeding the resumption of lending to the economy, the central bank said in a statement.
The sides reached an agreement on the detailed elaboration of generalized proposals for measures which, according to bankers, should be taken to address the crediting problems and promote growth in lending to the real economy, as well as further joint actions.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Ukreximbank, Oschadbank, Ukrsotsbank, VTB Bank, Prominvestbank, Alfa Bank, OTP Bank, First Ukrainian International Bank, Delta Bank, Bank Khreshchatyk and Platinum Bank.
